One thing to bear in my when shopping for souvenirs in Costa Rica is that they are not cheap. Costa Rica is a well-functioning country where everyone earns enough and pays tax too, and this is thanks to the higher prices you’ll find there when compared to other Central American countries such as Nicaragua.
