Florida has embraced the fact that it’s an RV mecca and has done a wonderful job of welcoming RVers and offers amenities to make anyone a happy camper.

Whether you’re visiting Florida’s panhandle, the Florida Keys, or anything in between, you’ll have no problem finding an RV park that fits your needs and then some. If you are planning to visit an RV park in Florida, make sure to book early as they tend to fill up quickly, especially during the winter months.

Campgrounds such as State Parks allow campers to book a year out while private campgrounds start taking reservations a few months prior to one’s intended vacation dates. If you plan to rent an RV for your trip, you’ll want to do that as early as possible too.

North Florida

Onsite amenities include beach walkways, two laundry facilities, three bathhouses, and a convenience store.  Need beach items, fishing gear, camping gear, snacks, beverages, or souvenirs? The store has you covered. All campsites have full hookups and include water, sewer, cable, WiFi and electricity with 50 amps. 30 amp adapters are available for loan.

St George Island State Park

This is one of the best RV parks in Florida and is located on a stunning barrier island right on Florida’s Forgotten Coast. The St George Island State Park is a place loved by those into fishing or birdwatching as well as anything water-related: kayaking, canoeing, swimming and much more.

The beach itself is ranked in the top 5 in the USA. It is a little isolated up here, which is what you want on the Forgotten Coast, but that does not mean zero amenities. There are a total of 60 RV sites with electrical and water hookups. And if you need to empty your black or greywater, there is a dump station nearby.

This is a place that is also known for its stargazing, so bring your deck chairs and spend a few hours late into the night!

Anastasia State Park

Experience 1,600 acres of untouched beaches, tidal marshes, ancient sand dunes, and maritime hammocks at this captivating state park in northern Florida. The campground is home to 139 campsites, all offering electricity and water hookups, fire rings, picnic tables, and grill.

The park does have a communal dump station, laundry facility, restroom, and shower house. All sites are located in the maritime hammock and just a short walk or bike ride to the beach. 

There are plenty of ways to have fun and relax at Anastasia State Park. The park contains four miles of pristine beach with some of the best surfing on Florida’s east coast, wildlife viewing, fishing, a nature trail for walking or running, paved roads for bicycling, estuarine tidal marsh for kayaking and canoeing, and much more.

Juniper Springs Campground

Campsites do not offer hookups. Hot showers, flush toilets, and potable water are available. Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, grill, and lantern post. While dry camping in Florida may not be as convenient as having full hookups, it’s worth it to experience this unique and wonderful place.
