Coleman Double Camping Cot

The Coleman Camping Cot is one of the most popular camping cots ever made. It’s surprisingly comfortable for an air mattress, it has a convenient side table with a cup holder, and it’s available in a few different sizes.

You can choose between queen and twin cot sizes. The twin cot is ideal for one person, with a maximum weight limit of 300 lbs and a total width of 40”. The queen cot, on the other hand, is Coleman’s best two-person camping cot. It has a max weight limit of 600 lbs and it’s 59” wide, which is more than comfortable enough for two people.

Another great thing about the Coleman double camping cot is that it’s a great fit even for people who are over six feet tall.

The cot frame is made from steel and you can be certain that it won’t malfunction unless the maximum weight load is exceeded. Steel is a tough and durable material that holds up to wear and tear really well, but it is susceptible to rust. Because of that, it’s best to keep the cot in dry spaces even when you’re not using it.

The mini side tables are a very convenient addition. They fold out from underneath the mattress, allowing you to keep your essentials within your hand’s reach even when you’re sleeping.

Double Kwik Tent Cot

The Double Kwik tent cot is one of the best options for tall people. It’s around 85” long, and the entire cot is slightly bigger than a traditional queen bed. It’s not quite as big as a king, but it’s large enough that two people can sleep comfortably on it.

Exactly how comfortable you are will depend on the type of mattress that you put on the cot. You don’t get a mattress with this cot and that is a shame. It’s best to use a queen mattress with this cot because of the metal bar in the middle. And even with a thick queen mattress, you’ll want to avoid sleeping right in the middle of the cot.

The frame is made from aluminum and nickel, so it’s tough, durable, and lightweight. The cot weighs around 30 lbs, which is great for such a large camping cot. Naturally, that doesn’t account for the weight of the mattress, but if you’re going with an air mattress, that won’t impact the portability anyway.

This two-person camping cot also features storage pockets on the sides, so you can have some necessities close by while you sleep. They’re not quite as handy as the side tables of the Coleman cot, but they give you extra storage space, which is always useful in tents. The fabric of the cot is polyester and mesh, so it’s durable, breathable, and water-resistant.

Additionally, the Double Kwik cot comes with a zippered bag for easy transport. The folded dimensions of this camping cot are 42” x 11” x 9”.

Disc-O-Bed XL

The Disco-O Bed is one of the most versatile two-person camping cots you can get your hands on. You can use it as two individual beds, a bench, and you can set up the cots like bunk beds, which is awesome for saving space in tents.

The bed frames are very tough and durable, so there’s no need to worry about malfunctions even when you’re using these as bunk beds. Each cot is 35” wide and 79” long – they’re not ideal for very tall people, but the size is just right for the average person. The cots are 11” above the ground when used individually and if you set them up like bunk beds, the top bunk will be 21” above the bottom bunk. That should give you just enough room to get in and out of the bed comfortably.

In addition to that, it’s also worth noting that these camping cots have organizers/pockets on the side. This is great because you get to keep your must-haves handy at night even if you are sleeping in the top bunk!

One downside of the Disc-O Bed is the price point. It’s quite expensive for a two-person camping cot, especially when you can get a queen Coleman for half the price of this one. But you won’t get the versatility of this camping cot with any other item, so I think it’s worth the higher price tag.

Kamp-Rite Compact Double Tent Cot

Kamp-Rite double tent cot is an interesting option. It’s a two-person camping cot with a detachable tent cover, so it’s a great option for people who are just getting into camping and haven’t yet purchased all the necessary amenities. You can skip buying a tent for now and just use this until you figure out whether you actually enjoy it.

The great thing about this camping cot is its versatility. Put up the tent to use the camping cot as a lounge outdoors – it will shield you from the elements, but you’re still outdoors and feeling the breeze in your hair. There are pockets on the sides of the tent, so you can easily keep all your must-haves handy. There’s also a convenient pouch just below the sleeping area, which is perfect for your shoes and other items you don’t want to keep in your bed.

The downside of this design is that it’s quite big and bulky, so not great if you want a cot that will fit into a regular tent. But you can easily just take down the rain fly and use this as a simple camping cot for two. Also, you can use the tent on its own, which is pretty cool.

This two-person cot weighs some 44 lbs, so it’s definitely not the most portable option out of the bunch. But it is very sturdy and durable with a maximum load capacity of 550 lbs.

It’s also worth noting that a mattress is not included, which is a shame considering that this is one pricey camping cot.

KingCamp Double Camping Cot

The KingCamp two-person camping cot is another excellent option. It’s a 55” wide cot with a total load capacity of 550 lbs, but the entire thing weighs just 35 lbs. It’s one of the lightest double cots you can find, but it is still very tough and durable. Also, it’s under $200, which makes it one of the most affordable options as well.

One great thing about this camping cot is that the carry bag has wheels for easier transport. They’re not exactly great for uneven terrain and forest floor, but they certainly make it easier to lug around this 35lb camping cot.

A mattress is not included in the purchase, so that’s something you will need to buy individually. The cot size is made for queen mattresses and it’s best to go with something thicker. The cot has a metal rod right down the middle that adds support and stability, but it does not feel comfortable sleeping on it. The thicker the mattress, the less likely you are to feel the metal rod poking you in the back.

There aren’t any pockets or organizers on this camping cot, and that’s one downside. You don’t have a place to put those items you want handy even in the middle of the night, but I think that’s a small compromise considering all the other great features of the KingCamp double camping cot.

Disc-O-Bed Youth Kid-O-Bunk

If you need a double camping cot for your kids or really short friends, the Disc-O-Bed Youth Bunks is the best option for you. The camping cot is very similar to the adult version but it’s smaller and lighter, so easier to transport. The children’s version is also cheaper than the adult one, so you can save some money.

You can use this cot as bunk buds, twin cots, and as a bench, so it’s super versatile.  Each cot has organizers on the side that will keep your essentials close by while you sleep, but they are significantly smaller than the organizers on the adult-sized cot.

The twin camping cots weigh 36.5 lbs together, so they’re one of the more portable options. Also, the cots have individual carry bags, allowing you to split the weight with your fellow campers. When you set them up as bunk beds, there’s 18” between the two cots, so your little ones should be able to get in and out of the beds easily. But whoever is in the bottom bunk most likely won’t be able to sit upright when the top bunk is occupied.

The bed frames are made from rust-resistant steel for excellent durability and the fabric used on the bunks is 600D polyester with PVC coating for improved water resistance. These camping cots are very tough and durable, and they should last you for quite a while – at the very least until your kids grow out of them.

Outsunny Extra Large Camping Cot

The Outsunny two-person camping cot is a great option if you want an all-in-one solution for your camping trips. It’s a cot, a tent, and a comfortable air mattress all in one, and it all packs down into a slim and portable carry bag.

The frame is made from aluminum, so it’s lightweight but very sturdy. The tent and cot fabric feature PVC for excellent water resistance, ensuring that you can sleep soundly outside even on a rainy night. Also, it’s possible to detach the tent from the camping cot, if you want to use the latter with your existing tent.

If you need a quick solution for a camping trip, this double camping cot is a pretty good option. It’s certainly not my first choice, but it does cover all the basics for a decent price.

The main downside of this double camping cot is that the aluminum frame can support up to 330 lbs. That’s about 200 lbs below average, making this double camping cot suitable only for fit people. This also means that you can’t use this as a seating area for more than two people, so it’s actually less functional than most other camping cots, despite all the extra features.

Another downside is that you get an old-school manual pump for the mattress. They couldn’t include an electric pump for some $300? It will take forever to inflate the mattress with the manual pump, so you’ll need to buy a proper pump if you don’t already own one.

EZ Bed Air Mattress

The EZ Bed Air Mattress is an interesting option for camping. It’s not your traditional two-person camping cot, but rather an inflatable mattress with a supportive frame. The mattress has a built-in pump that inflates it in about three minutes – all you need to do is plug it into an outlet. That means that this camping cot is not really suitable for trips out in the wild, but it’s great if you’re staying at campsites with electricity.

This is one of the comfiest double camping cots, mostly because it’s all mattress. The steel frame is there just to support the comfortable, queen mattress. Also, the frame is self-deploying, meaning it automatically adjusts itself as the mattress inflates. You just need to unzip the carry bag, plug this in, and the rest takes care of itself.

The queen mattress is very comfortable, so this is certainly an upgrade over a basic camping cot. And the entire mattress is made from PVC, so it has great water resistance. Even the steel frame is powder-coated, for improved corrosion resistance.

The maximum load capacity of the mattress is 500 lbs, while the 80” length makes it a good option even for very tall people. In addition to that, the surface of the bed is velvety, which helps the bedding stick to it. Unfortunately, this camping bed doesn’t feature any pockets or organizers.
