Vietnam is the first of the countries that start with the letter V. It is officially the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, is a country in Southeast Asia. It is located at the eastern edge of the Indochinese Peninsula and is divided into 58 provinces and five municipalities.
Although Vietnam is in a tropical climate, the north part has four distinct seasons, namely spring, autumn, summer, and winter. Basically, winter activities like making a snowman and snowball fighting can also be enjoyed in Vietnam.
It might be a suprise to some but Vietnam’s capital city is Hanoi, even though its most populous city is Ho Chi Minh City (formerly known as Saigon).
Vietnam is home to the largest cave in the world, the Sơn Đoòng Cave, with approximately 150 metres (490 ft) of depth and 9 kilometres (5.6 mi) of length. It’s located in Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, Quang Binh Province of Vietnam.

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is another country to start with V. It is on the northern coast of South America, consisting of a continental landmass and many islands and islets in the Caribbean Sea, neighboring Colombia, Brazil, Trinidad and Tobago, and Guyana.
The capital city is Caracas, which is located on the northern coast on the Caribbean Sea.
Venezuela is home to Angel Falls, the world’s tallest uninterrupted waterfall. It drops over the edge of the Auyán-tepui mountain in the Canaima National Park.
Venezuela has three UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Canaima National Park; Ciudad Universitaria de Caracas; and Coro and its Port. Although, it’s said that the latter is deemed at risk by UNESCO. (source: World Heritage Sites)

Vanuatu, officially the Republic of Vanuatu, is an island country located in the South Pacific Ocean, made up of roughly 80 islands that stretch 1,300 kilometers.
Vanuatu was ranked as the most at-risk country on earth by the United Nations’ Natural Disaster Risk Index where vulnerability and exposure to natural disasters were examined including volcanic eruptions, droughts, earthquakes, floods, storms, and rising sea levels.
There’s a tribe in Vanuatu that worships Prince Philip. It all started when Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip visited the island in 1974.
Vanuatu is home to Mount Yasur – the world’s most accessible volcano. It’s located on Tanna Island, a must-visit if you’re within the island. It’s 361 m (1,184 ft) high above sea level.
Although it is not obviously a country, the Vatican City State is the smallest country in the world. It measures 2 miles across and is surrounded by Rome, Italy all the way around.
Of course, it is more complex than that. The Vatican is actually the headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church and home to his holiness the Pope. It is also a place that houses multiple museums and countless works of art including the Sistine Chapel.
