Ryanair Baggage Allowance for Carry-on Bags
Ryanair passengers are allowed to board the cabin with one carry-on and one small bag. The carry-on luggage must fit under the seat in front of you or in the overhead bin. Carry-on luggage must be at most 55 cm x 40 cm x 20 cm (22 in x 16 in x 8 in). It must not weigh more than 10 kg (22 lbs).
Your small carry-on (or your handbag) must be no bigger than 35 x 20 x 20 cm (14 x 8 x 8 in). There is no weight restriction for this piece, but it must fit under the seat in front of you.
Keep in mind that bulkhead seats (seats divided by certain areas in the plane by a wall) do not have under-seat storage.
Ryanair Baggage Allowance for Checked Bags
Ryanair passengers can check in up to two bags. Each bag must weigh no more than 20 kg (44 lbs) with the applicable checked baggage fees. Reserve checked baggage online at the time of booking or by contacting a Ryanair call center four hours prior to the scheduled departure or 40 minutes before the flight departure time at the airport.
Baggage allowances vary by flight and by season with the low season between January 5th-May 31st and October 1st-December 20th. The high season is between June 1st-September 30th and December 21st- January 4th.
Ryanair Baggage Prices
For rows 1, 2 (D, E, F), and 16-17 (with extra legroom), Baggage fees are 30 euros per flight. Front seats (rows 2 (A, B, C)-5 baggage fee is 19 euros per flight. For Standard seats (rows 6-15 and 18-33) the fee is 15 euros per flight. For mandatory family seats, the fee is between 4-6 euros.
These prices are for economy passengers who book a Standard or Flexi Plus flight. If you book a Plus or Family Plus flight, checked baggage will be included in your airfare.
Keep in mind that baggage fees for each piece of luggage increase when you pay via the call center or wait until you’re at the airport. For example, at the time of booking, the fee for a 10kg bag will be 12 to 25 euros, and post-booking the fee jumps to between 17.99 and 50 euros. Avoid the extra charge by purchasing online before your departure date.
Ryanair Policy on Excess Baggage
If you exceed the checked baggage allowance for personal bags (20 kg or 44 lbs) you will be charged the current rate on the day of travel. The excess baggage fee is currently 20 euros per kg. Additionally, checked bags have linear dimensions of 158 cm ( 62 ins) or less.

Sports equipment and musical instruments are considered as hold luggage along with checked baggage but must not exceed 20 kg (44 lbs) or 30 kg (66 lbs) for bikes.

Consider adding Priority boarding and 2 cabin bags starting at a fee of 6 euros. Then you can bring one more bag with a maximum weight of 10 kg in the overhead locker. You’ll also be boarding first, so the overhead will likely be manageable.
