This Hanke suitcase is a good option for travelers who struggle with overpacking their luggage. It’s an internationally-sized carry-on with a capacity of 40 liters, which is pretty great. The luggage does not have an expandable capacity, so you couldn’t overpack this suitcase even if you tried.

What’s great about this luggage is that it features a front panel opening, as opposed to the clamshell opening style of most hardside luggage. This allows for better utilization of the packing compartment and helps you fit more items inside. The wide wheel handle also helps, since there are no barrels to pack around in the middle of the suitcase shell.

This luggage features an aluminum frame and a pure polycarbonate construction for excellent durability. The metal frame is partly responsible for the luggage being so heavy, but it also does wonders for structural integrity and impact resistance.

Additionally, this suitcase is equipped with smooth double spinner wheels and a couple of internal pockets for easy organization. There’s a wet pocket and a dry pocket, so you get a dedicated spot for all the smaller items when packing.

Hanke Airline-Approved Lightweight Spinner Suitcase

This is one of Hanke’s best-selling suitcases and a solid option if you want a durable hardside suitcase, but don’t really want to spend a fortune on luggage. The suitcase is available in five different sizes, ranging from a 14” underseat bag to a 29” checked case.

I’ll focus on the features of the carry-on here, but it’s worth noting that all the cases have the same base features and they mostly differ in size.

The 21” carry-on is a great option for international travel. The luggage is made from 3-layer polycarbonate for excellent durability and impact resistance, plus it’s small enough to get accepted inside the cabin on most international flights. The case also features YKK zippers, double-spinner wheels, a height-adjustable wheel handle, and a convenient TSA-approved combination lock.

One thing I really like about this suitcase is the color variety. Many people, myself included, prefer colorful luggage because it’s easier to spot, especially for checked cases. The Hanke suitcase is available in standard black and gray colors, but also lots of other, more fun options.

On the inside, the suitcase features tie-down straps in the bottom compartment and a full-panel zippered divider at the top. The divider boasts a zippered mesh pocket and an extra waterproof pocket, so you can easily store your toiletries or wet items separately.

Hanke Carry-On Spinner Suitcase with Front Opening

This Hanke spinner is probably my favorite option out of the bunch because it includes two of my favorite features this brand is known for – the front opening with an organizer and a wide wheel handle. This is also one of the brand’s priciest suitcases, so not the best option for travelers on a tighter budget.

The luggage is made from durable polycarbonate and features an aluminum frame in the middle. Because of the frame, it cannot be opened clamshell-style. It’s possible to open the luggage only through the front panel, and this is also why the suitcase is not expandable.

This Hanke luggage is equipped with double spinner wheels, a TSA-friendly combination lock, and a wide, height-adjustable wheel handle. The design of the wheel handle is great because the barrels are at the edges of the packing compartment, and you won’t have to pack around them.

When you first open up the front panel, you expose an organizer with dedicated sleeves for a laptop, tablet, your IDs, and a few more pockets. You can then unzip the organizer to access the main packing compartment where all the clothes are supposed to be stored. This design allows for maximum utilization of the packing capacity and helps keep everything compressed.

Hanke Carry-On Luggage with Front Laptop Pocket

The Hanke Carry-On with a front pocket is one of the best options for travelers who like having easy access to their most important items. I personally love luggage with external pockets, which is why this Hanke suitcase is one of my favorites.

The case features a standard clamshell opening, with an extra zippered compartment on the front panel. This compartment boasts a dedicated laptop sleeve and a couple of smaller pockets for other accessories. There’s also enough space inside the compartment to fit magazines or books, so you can definitely have easy access to all the items you might need at the airport.

Other features of this luggage include double spinner wheels, a TSA-approved lock, and a height-adjustable wheel handle. One thing I really like about this piece of luggage is that it’s possible to lock both compartments with the TSA lock.

The main downside of this design is that the overall capacity of the suitcase is significantly smaller because the external compartment takes away capacity from the main compartment. You still get tie-down straps at the bottom and a full-panel zippered divider (with pockets) at the top, but you’ll be able to fit fewer items inside the top compartment.

The organizational capabilities and the reduced capacity of this carry-on make it an ideal option for business trips, weekend getaways, or as an extra piece of luggage in addition to a checked bag.

Hanke 20” Carry On Luggage with Front Pocket

The Hanke Carry-On with Front Pocket is a very interesting suitcase with a unique opening style. This case has an aluminum frame in the center, so it can only be opened through the front panel. When you unzip the front panel, you’ll first uncover an organizer panel, which you must also unzip to reach the actual packing compartment.

I don’t know about you, but I absolutely love this design. It allows you to fit more items inside the packing compartment, while still having an easily accessible pocket for all the things you want to keep handy at the airport. There’s a dedicated laptop sleeve in the organizer, a tablet sleeve, and a few smaller pockets for other necessities.

The only thing that would make this suitcase better is a wide wheel handle so that you wouldn’t have to pack around the barrels at the bottom of the compartment. Also, it’s important to note that this luggage is not expandable by design, but it has a very generous capacity of 41 liters.

The case also features double-spinner wheels, YKK zippers, an adjustable telescopic handle, and a TSA-friendly combination lock for security. Overall, it’s one of my favorite Hanke carry-on suitcases, and it’s worth noting that the larger cases don’t feature the same opening style.

Hanke 14” Underseat Carry-On Luggage

This Underseat luggage from Hanke is great for travelers who are looking to get a piece of luggage they can use as a personal item on most flights. The small case works for overnight trips, and thanks to the spinner wheels and telescopic handle, it’s super easy to maneuver around the airport.

The exterior of the case is made from polycarbonate so it’s very durable. Also, it’s worth noting that the underseat bag has a total capacity of 23 liters, which is pretty good for such a small bag. It even features two separate packing compartments with tie-down straps at the bottom and a full-panel zippered divider at the top.

You even get a small zippered pocket on the divider, so you can keep the smaller items organized. The case also features a TSA-friendly lock for security and durable YKK zippers. The one thing I think this underseat case is missing is a luggage strap in the back, which would make your life a lot easier if you were to travel with this and a couple of other suitcases.

The 14” bag is small enough to fit under the seat on flights with most major international airlines, but it’s always best to double-check a specific airline’s size restrictions before a flight. I checked whether this bag would be accepted as your free item on flights with budget airlines – it’s a good size for flights with WizzAir, but too big for Ryanair and EasyJet.

Hanke 3-Piece Luggage Set (20/24/29 in)

A three-piece luggage set from Hanke is a great option for travelers who need more than one suitcase. This set includes a 20” carry-on, a 24” medium case, and a 29” checked bag. All the suitcases in the set are made from the same durable polycarbonate, and they all feature a textured shell for maximum scratch resistance.

Also, all three pieces of luggage are equipped with YKK zippers, double-spinner wheels, and a TSA-approved combination lock. In fact, all the features of the luggage are identical across all the different sizes, and the only real difference is in the size of the suitcases.

None of these Hanke cases are expandable, and it’s up to you to decide whether that’s a good or bad thing. Additionally, it is important to note that the cases can nest inside one another, for easy storage.

On the inside, these Hanke suitcases feature two fully lined packing compartments. The bottom compartment has tie-down straps, while the top one boasts a zippered divider with two pockets. One of the pockets is waterproof, so it’s perfect for toiletries or wet items.

The 20” suitcase is the perfect size for a carry-on, with a 37-liter capacity. The 24” case is good for trips of up to two weeks and has a total capacity of 64 liters, while the 29” suitcase boasts a capacity of 103 liters and is great for trips longer than two weeks.

Hanke 2-Piece Luggage Set (20/29 in)

A two-piece luggage set is usually enough for most people, and the combination of a 20” carry-on and a 29” checked case should be enough to get you through a month of travel. That’s a total packing capacity of almost 150 liters, plus you can squeeze a few more things inside your personal item.

Both suitcases are made from durable polycarbonate with excellent flexibility and impact resistance. Also, this luggage collection is specific for the texture of the shell, which helps hide any scuffs and scratches. This is a really good inclusion because polycarbonate is generally prone to scratches, and the texture helps hide them and keeps the luggage looking new for longer.

Other features of these Hanke suitcases include double spinner wheels, a TSA-friendly lock, YKK zippers, and a height-adjustable wheel handle. Neither suitcase is expandable, so keep that in mind. Also, it’s worth mentioning that the smaller case will easily fit inside the bigger one, for easy storage.

The interior of these suitcases is simple. It’s fully lined with tie-down straps at the bottom and a full-panel zippered divider at the top. There are two pockets on the divider – one is a standard zippered mesh pocket, and the other is a waterproof pocket, perfect for toiletries or just wet clothes.

Overall, if you’re looking for a set that includes one carry-on and one checked bag, this is certainly one of the best options from Hanke.

Hanke Softside Expandable Carry-On Luggage

The Expandable Softside suitcase from Hanke is a solid option for travelers who are on a tighter budget and need carry-on luggage. This case is 20” tall so it’s a good size even for international travel, plus the expandable capacity means you’ll be able to fit a lot more than you might think inside the bag.

Also, this is one of Hanke’s more affordable suitcases and it’s good value for the money. One thing I need to make clear is that this is not as durable or impact-resistant as the brand’s polycarbonate luggage options, but that’s not a big deal for carry-on cases. However, I wouldn’t really recommend this bag for checked luggage, especially with all the polycarbonate options from Hanke that are similarly priced.

This suitcase features single spinner wheels, a telescopic wheel handle, and a TSA-friendly lock. The zippers are all YKK, including the expansion zipper that allows you to extend the suitcase by 2”.

The interior of this luggage is pretty simple. It’s fully lined with two tie-down straps to keep the clothes in place and a zippered mesh pocket on the top cover. You also get two smaller zippered pockets on the front panel, and they’re great for any items you would like to keep easily accessible at the airport.

Hanke Softside Carry-On Luggage with USB Port

The 16” Softside Carry-On from Hanke is a really good option for travelers who need a suitcase for overnight or weekend trips. Especially if you can pack light because this is a tiny suitcase. In my opinion, this is one of the better options from the brand for business travel.

The case features double spinner wheels, a height-adjustable wheel handle, and a TSA-friendly lock, so it’s got all the features you would expect from a much bigger piece of luggage. It also has two packing compartments – one big compartment for clothes, shoes, and other bulky items, and one slimmer compartment for electronics, files, magazines, etc.

There’s a dedicated, shockproof sleeve that can easily fit 14” computers inside this bag. The case also includes an extra pocket on the front panel (great for passport and boarding pass), as well as a water bottle pocket in the back.

On top of all that, this convenient carry-on comes with a USB port so you can charge your electronics on the go. There’s a dedicated power bank pocket inside the luggage, but it’s worth noting that you do not get a power bank with the mini suitcase.

Overall, this is certainly not a great option for everyone because of the small size, especially since it’s not small enough to fit under airplane seats. But if you are specifically looking for a 16” suitcase for short trips, it’s definitely one of the best options from Hanke.
