Andare Luggage Reviews: Are They Worth Buying?

Andare Barcelona-2 Exp. Hardside Spinner

The Barcelona spinner is a hardside suitcase made from ABS plastic with a polycarbonate laminate. The PC layer makes the luggage a little more durable, but it’s still not quite as tough as a suitcase made from pure polycarbonate.

This luggage features reinforced corners, which improves its overall impact resistance. If the suitcase gets thrown around by baggage handlers and lands badly on a corner, the reinforcements should protect the shell from cracking. Also, the case is textured for good scratch resistance.

This Andare luggage collection is equipped with double spinner wheels, a TSA-friendly lock, a telescopic wheel handle, and an expandable capacity. There are three luggage sizes total in the collection (20”, 25”, and 29”), and all the suitcases have the same main features.

The interior of the luggage is fully lined with a full-panel divider in one compartment and an adjustable divider in the other. Both dividers are equipped with zippered pockets, for easy organization of smaller items.

One important thing to note is that Andare doesn’t state anywhere whether the listed dimensions are of the packing case or the entire luggage. I’m almost certain that the stated dimensions are of just the packing case, so expect the actual suitcase to be bigger (with wheels and handles).

Andare Monte Carlo-2 Exp. Hardside Spinner

The Andare Monte Carlo luggage collection features three suitcases made from virgin ABS plastic. I’ll focus on the 28” large suitcase here, but the other available sizes are 20” and 24”.

Because this luggage is made from ABS plastic, it’s not the most durable option from Andare. The corner reinforcements significantly improve the overall impact resistance of the shell, but it’s important to keep in mind that only the corners in the front are reinforced. Also, the shell is textured for better scratch resistance.

One important thing to note about the Monte Carlo luggage is that it features a wider body than most traditional suitcases. This allows for a larger capacity, so you can actually fit more items inside this case than you would inside a standard 28” suitcase.

On top of that, all the Monte Carlo suitcases feature double spinner wheels, a TSA-approved combination lock, and an expendable capacity. The luggage has telescopic wheel handles, as well as low-profile grab handles on the top and side.

The interior of these Andare suitcases is fully lined with a height-adjustable divider inside the top compartment and elastic cross-straps inside the bottom one. There’s another zipper pocket inside the bottom compartment, as well as a TSA-friendly waterproof pocket perfect for toiletries and wet items.

Overall, I think this is a solid suitcase, especially if you can get it at a discounted rate. But I wouldn’t pay the full retail price for this luggage, nor would I feel confident checking it because of the ABS plastic construction.

Andare Milan-3 Exp. Softside Spinner

The Milan is a softside spinner suitcase from Andare, and probably one of my favorite options from this brand. But I’m a little biased because I normally prefer softshells for carry-on luggage because of their excellent organizational features.

This luggage is made from 1680D polyester. It’s a durable material and many suitcases are manufactured from it, but it’s important to note that is not quite as durable as nylon. So, the Milan is a good suitcase, but it’s far from being an amazing, must-buy option.

The upside of this luggage is that it features rubberized edges for improved impact resistance and better durability. Also, the suitcase is equipped with double spinner wheels, a telescopic wheel handle, and an expandable capacity for maximum convenience. But there’s no TSA-friendly lock on this luggage or any lock for that matter.

The interior of this suitcase is fully lined and features a dedicated garment folder. This feature is usually included in luggage that is a lot more expensive than Andare luggage, so keep that in mind. If you often travel for business or just pack items that can’t get wrinkled in transport, this carry-on is a very good option.

In addition to the suiter section, the interior of the Milan suitcases is fully lined and features tie-down straps to compress the clothes and keep them in place. The luggage also features two external pockets that will keep anything you need easily accessible.

Andare West Lake Softside Spinner

The West Lake suitcase is the most feature-packed softshell luggage from Andare. It’s made from 1200D polyester so it’s reasonably durable, and it’s got double spinner wheels and a telescopic wheel handle.

I will say that the Milan luggage is slightly more durable than this option, but at the same time, this luggage is lighter because the material is a bit thinner. Also, you really don’t have to worry about how rugged the luggage is if you’re only looking for a carry-on since it won’t be put through rigorous conditions as often.

In terms of West Lake suitcase features, the first thing I want to talk about is the handles. There’s a telescopic wheel handle of course, but this luggage also features some very sturdy grab handles on the top and side, as well as a small grab handle at the bottom. The top and side handles are padded for better grip and riveted onto the luggage for maximum durability.

The luggage also features double spinner wheels for easy maneuverability. There’s an add-a-bag strap at the top of the suitcase, and it will make your life a lot easier if you often travel with multiple pieces of luggage, especially if you often carry an underseat tote or a laptop bag. You can just attach it to the suitcase and keep your hands free.

Then there’s the awesome interior. It’s fully lined with tie-down straps and pockets in the lid and inside the bottom compartment. One of the pockets is waterproof and TSA-compliant, so you can use it for your toiletries.

Additionally, the luggage also features external zippered pockets for any items you remember to pack last minute, or just for the stuff you want to keep easily accessible at the airport.

Andare Miami Hardside Spinner

The Miami spinner from Andare is a solid option for checked luggage. It’s made from polypropylene, a very lightweight material with decent durability and impact resistance. It’s not quite as tough as polycarbonate, but it is a lot lighter, so it’s the better option if you’re more concerned about weight limits for checked baggage.

Also, it’s great that the shell of this luggage is heavily textured because that will hide any scuffs and scratches that might occur in transport. Other features of the Miami suitcase include double spinner wheels, a TSA-friendly lock, a telescopic wheel handle, and an expandable capacity.

The packing compartment is fully lined and equipped with tie-down straps at the bottom and a zippered divider at the top. The divider has a large zippered pocket, while the bottom compartment features two pockets – a small zippered one, and a removable, waterproof toiletry pouch. The pouch is TSA-compliant, so you can easily use it instead of single-use plastic bags.

The main downside of the Miami luggage is that it’s the priciest option from Andare. The full retail price is way too much in my opinion, and from what I’ve seen online it’s only available with a 50% discount which is reasonable. It’s a decent value for money, especially if you’re looking for a super lightweight but spacious suitcase.
