What To Look For In The Best Hydration Pack For Snowboarding

Hydration Pack Types

There are only two types of hydration packs, ones with extra storage space and one made for just bladders that have a small pocket.

I personally would always choose a pack with extra space as I like to carry extra equipment when doing extreme sports. But, it is always nice to travel light and just carry you water and valuables.

Insulation

Choosing a pack with insulation is key if you want to have a drink in freezing temperatures as without it your water will be an ice block. Only some of the packs featured come with insulation while the ones that don’t rely on you wearing them under your ski jacket.

Your hose can also freeze if it is not insulated so make sure you have insulation if you want to be able to drink from your hose in the freezing cold.

Is The Bladder Easy To Clean?

Choosing a bladder with a large opening will make cleaning it a lot easier, and filling it too. Some bladders also come with treatment to ensure no bacteria build-up so you don’t have to clean them too often.

Here is an article about how to clean your hydration bladder properly.
