Orange might not be a very popular color for luggage, but that’s certainly changing with time. More and more people are opting for luggage colors that stand out, mostly because they want their luggage to stand out. Black is by far the most popular color for luggage, and if you’ve got a black checked bag, you’ll have a harder time spotting it on the conveyor belt.

Whether you want a carry-on suitcase, a checked suitcase, or even a luggage set, you’ll find several excellent options here. I’ve included the best orange luggage that ranges from affordable to very expensive, so there’s certainly something for everyone’s budget!

Tumi is a very popular luxury luggage brand known for its premium quality and durability. Their luggage is made from the best materials with excellent craftsmanship and the suitcases often incorporate new and unique features.
The orange Tumi Aero suitcase is a result of their collaboration with McLaren, and it’s the perfect option for car and motorsport enthusiasts. The suitcase is available in two versions – the one in the image with a bright orange front panel, and an all-black design with orange accents.
The features are identical in either color. The Aero luggage is made from Tegris, Tumi’s proprietary material that boasts excellent durability and impact resistance. The suitcase is also equipped with double spinner wheels, an adjustable wheel handle, and a TSA-friendly lock.
There are two packing compartments inside the Aero luggage, plus there’s an additional zippered compartment accessible from the front panel. Both compartments are fully lined with zippered dividers, and there are also compression straps inspired by McLaren’s 5-point harness. The suitcase also features an expandable capacity, a USB port, and a removable suiter section.
Samsonite Flite is the best checked luggage you can get in a bright orange color. This is an excellent suitcase constructed with durability and weight in mind. It’s made from pure polypropylene, which is the lightest material used in the manufacturing of luggage.
The case is also zipperless for ultimate security, and it can be opened with the latches on the TSA-friendly lock. It has a single-barrel wheel handle, smooth and silent single-spinner wheels, and two packing compartments without any lining.
Samsonite really removed everything they possibly could from this luggage to make it weigh as little as possible. The Flite is a large, 31” checked suitcase and it weighs only 12 lbs, which is absolutely impressive for a case this size. Also, it’s not like the internal compartments are completely bare; you still get an adjustable divider (with pockets) in one compartment and elastic cross straps in the other one.
There’s also a name tag on the barrel of the wheel handle, as well as a low-profile grab handle on the side, but that’s it for the features of this luggage. It’s quite minimalistic, which is great because it means that it’s got a larger capacity than most other suitcases that are a similar size.
The Winfield is one of Samsonite’s all-time best sellers because of its really good value for money. You can get a three-piece orange luggage set for less than $300, which is basically a steal for Samsonite luggage. They’re not the best-looking suitcases money can buy, but I don’t think anyone should care about design at this price point.
The set includes a 20” carry-on, a 24” medium suitcase, and a 28” large checked bag. All the luggage is made from polycarbonate and features single spinner wheels with a telescopic wheel handle. You also get low-profile grab handles on the top and side of all these suitcases, as well as a TSA-approved lock.
Additionally, the two larger suitcases feature expendable capacity, allowing you to store up to 15% more items inside them. The carry-on is the only non-expandable suitcase, which is something you should keep in mind.
Samsonite Winfield’s luggage is pretty standard on the inside. The two packing compartments are fully lined, and you get a full-panel zippered divider in one and tie-down straps in the other. The top compartment features two zippered pockets for easy organization of all your smaller belongings.
Another thing to note is that the Winfield luggage is available individually or as a set. Two-piece sets are not available in the orange color, but the three-piece set and all the individual suitcases are.
The Belmont Plus suitcase from Delsey Paris is available in a Tangerine orange color and it’s one of the best options if you want a mid-range suitcase. It’s not very expensive but it boasts excellent build quality, premium materials, and all the features you would expect from a quality suitcase.
This luggage is manufactured from polypropylene and it’s very lightweight. The carry-on weighs only 6 lbs, which is pretty impressive for a suitcase with a capacity of 39 liters. If you often struggle to stay under the weight limit for carry-on luggage, this might just be the best suitcase for you.
Polypropylene doesn’t have the best impact resistance and it is not as durable as polycarbonate, but that matters less with carry-on luggage. Smaller luggage doesn’t get thrown around nearly as often as checked luggage, so the material and its overall durability are less important.
What is important is that the Belmont Plus suitcase features double spinner wheels, a TSA-approved combination lock, and a telescopic wheel handle. It’s got two packing compartments with expandable capacity and a mesh zippered divider inside to keep your belongings in place. The other compartment features elastic cross straps, but there are unfortunately no pockets inside the luggage.
Victorinox is a Swiss brand known for the excellent quality of its products. The Airox luggage is no exception, and I’m thrilled that it’s available in an orange color because it’s a really good suitcase. It’s made from pure polycarbonate, the best and most durable plastic material for hardside luggage.
The Airox suitcase is equipped with double-spinner wheels, a single-barrel wheel handle, and a TSA-friendly lock. It doesn’t have an expandable capacity and it lacks a grab handle on the side, but all those features are meant to minimize the weight of the suitcase. The burnt orange luggage weighs only 5.1 lbs, which makes it the lightest carry-on featured in this review.
It’s worth noting that the case is also available in a bigger (carry-on) size, but the 22” luggage will be accepted inside the cabin on most international airlines, which isn’t the case with the larger option. Also, the features of the two suitcases are identical, and the other option is just a slightly bigger bag with a somewhat larger capacity.
The interior of the Victorinox luggage is minimal as well. It boasts two packing compartments with zippered dividers, but no internal pockets. You’ll need to use packing cubes and toiletry bags to keep the contents of the luggage organized, but that’s not a big deal considering all the other awesome features of this Victorinox suitcase.
Rockland Melbourne is another orange luggage set that costs very little money. It normally retails for just under $150, and it’s currently discounted even further. The luggage set is an excellent option for travelers who are on a tight budget and need multiple pieces of luggage because it includes three suitcases.
You get a carry-on and two checked bags, which are excellent value for money. All the suitcases are made from ABS plastic, an affordable material that has excellent scratch resistance. The Rockland suitcases also feature double spinner wheels, a telescopic wheel handle, and an expandable capacity. None of the Melbourne suitcases have a lock on them, so keep that in mind if security is an important feature to you.
The interior of this luggage is fully lined and split into two packing compartments. The top compartment features an opaque zippered divider, while the bottom compartment has elastic cross-straps and a small zippered pocket. There are no other pockets inside the Melbourne luggage, which is a shame.
Overall, these truly are some of the best budget suitcases you can get your hands on, and they’re a great option if you don’t have a lot of money to spend. Just don’t expect them to last forever because they’re made from cheaper materials, and keep in mind that they’re missing some features that you might be used to.
Rockland Journey is another affordable luggage set you need to know about if you’re on a tighter budget. It’s a four-piece set of softside luggage, and it includes an underseat bag, a carry-on, a medium suitcase, and a large suitcase.
I would not recommend the bigger two suitcases for air travel because they’re not as durable as hardside luggage, but the 14” tote and the carry-on suitcase make for excellent cabin luggage. They’re small, lightweight, and spacious enough that you could pack for trips of up to seven days in this luggage.
The suitcases are all upright, which means that they have in-line skate wheels. These aren’t as easy to maneuver as spinner wheels, but the plus side is that they don’t add quite as much height to the luggage. All the suitcases feature expandable capacity, a retractable wheel handle, grab handles on the top and side, and external compartments.
The interior of the Journey luggage is the same no matter the size. It’s fully lined with internal tie-down straps and a large mesh pocket on the top cover. Overall, if you’re in the market for an orange softshell suitcase, this is certainly an option worth considering.
Traveler’s Choice Archer is a high-quality hardside suitcase available in a dark orange color. It’s made from polycarbonate, so it’s extremely durable, flexible, and lightweight. The luggage collection includes a carry-on and two checked cases, and you can get the luggage in a two-piece or a three-piece set if you want.
This is one of my favorite suitcases out of the bunch because it is packed with useful features. It’s got a telescopic wheel handle, double spinner wheels, low-profile grab handles, and a USB port for charging. The only thing this luggage lacks is a TSA-friendly lock, and that’s something you can live without if you’re just interested in the carry-on.
The Archer suitcase features two packing compartments and they’re the best part of the luggage. If you enjoy having multiple pockets and staying organized, you’ll love this suitcase. The bottom compartment features a full-panel divider with two pockets, while the top compartment features tie-down straps and two zippered pouches for organization.
You’ll be able to keep everything neatly organized in this suitcase, and that’s awesome. It’s also surprisingly affordable for luggage of this quality and a really good option for cabin baggage.
The Amazon Basics expandable hardside spinner is a really good option if you’re looking for affordable luggage. It’s an extremely popular suitcase thanks to the affordable price point. If you don’t want to spend a fortune on an orange suitcase and you’re not nitpicky about durability, consider it.
The luggage is made from ABS plastic, a material with really good scratch resistance. It’s not as durable or flexible as polycarbonate, but that’s something you should worry about if you need checked baggage. If you just want a carry-on, the material doesn’t matter as much because the luggage isn’t put through the same rigorous conditions.
This suitcase features double spinner wheels, a telescopic wheel handle, and low-profile grab handles. It doesn’t have a TSA-friendly lock, but again, that’s a downside only if you’re looking for checked baggage.
There are two packing compartments inside this suitcase, one with a zippered divider and the other with elastic cross straps. You get a total of three pockets inside, which is plenty to keep your belongings organized. Overall, if you want luggage under $100, this is easily one of the best options.
Tuplus Balance luggage is a great option if you’re into non-conventional luggage. This suitcase is special because it has a wide wheel handle that doesn’t take away capacity from the main packing compartment.
The wheel handle is also fully aligned with the top of the suitcase when stored, so it doesn’t add any height to the luggage either. It’s very comfortable to use and makes it super simple to maneuver your luggage around the airport. Also, when you extend the wheel handle you will reveal a USB port that you can use to charge your electronics if you connect it to a power bank.
This suitcase also features zipperless closure, for ultimate peace of mind. You can open the luggage by sliding the latch on the side, which you will be able to do only when the combination in the TSA-approved lock is correct. The Balance suitcase also featured double spinner wheels that are smooth and silent.
The interior of the Tuplus black and orange luggage is divided into two packing compartments with a zippered divider inside each of them. There’s one pocket on the zippered divider in the bottom compartment, so the luggage has some features to help you stay organized.
Luggage materials are important because they can tell you a lot about the suitcase. Hardside luggage is generally the better option for frequent flyers, especially for checked bags because it’s more durable than softshell luggage. The best material for hardside luggage is polycarbonate because it is durable, flexible, and lightweight.
Polypropylene is a close second. It’s not quite as durable as polycarbonate but it comes close, and it is significantly lighter. ABS plastic performs the worst in terms of durability, but it still takes a lot of effort to crack the shell of an ABS suitcase.
The main thing to look for is luggage that’s the right size for your travel needs. If you need a cabin bag, you must make sure that the dimensions of the suitcase are acceptable for the airlines you travel with the most. Anything labeled with “international carry-on” is usually small enough that most airlines allow it inside the cabin.
Are there any luggage features that you are not willing to compromise on? It could be a TSA lock, double-spinner wheels, internal pockets, or even something out of the norm like a USB port. I’ve included 10 suitcases here that are all very different, and each has something unique.
So, look for luggage that has all the features you consider necessary in a good suitcase, and you’ll get yourself a bag that you’re happy to use instead of a piece of luggage that’s just collecting dust in your closet.
If you still haven’t figured out which of these orange suitcases is the best one for you, consider one of my top picks depending on what you’re prioritizing in the luggage.
Samsonite Flite is my favorite option for a checked suitcase. It’s incredibly lightweight at just 12 lbs, especially considering that this is a 31” suitcase that can fit enough clothes for trips that are longer than two weeks. The luggage features smooth spinner wheels, a single-barrel handle, and a TSA-friendly lock for maximum security.
If you prefer carry-on luggage, the Delsey Belmont Plus is a superb option. It’s one of the lightest orange suitcases you can get, which is great for staying under a specific weight limit when packing. The luggage is also equipped with all the features you’d expect from a high-end suitcase, including spinner wheels, a TSA lock, a height-adjustable wheel handle, and expandable capacity.
The Rockland Journey luggage set is great for travelers who prefer softsides and need multiple pieces of luggage. The set includes three suitcases and a small underseat bag, and it’s super affordable. The suitcases are sturdy and well-made, but they’re not quite as packed with features as some other options. But that’s okay for the price.
