The Mountain Trails Grand Pass is a spacious tent for someone looking for both room to move and privacy in quite a basic and affordable cabin tent. It’s not the largest 10 person tent in the world but still offers 175 sq ft of floor space and 6ft 3.5 inches of headroom, so your average person could stand up fine.

The tent is made from nylon, a durable fabric that can handle wear and tear pretty well. It comes with fiberglass poles, which are pretty good in general thanks to the amount they can flex before they break.

This Mountain Trails Grand Pass tent, however, due to its shape doesn’t fair very well in the wind and can collapse. This is, of course, rare but if you live in a windy place, you might want to steer clear of it.

It’s quite similar to most dome tents to pitch, so if you’re used to them it won’t take very long. Once up you’ll find a double door, half of which opens to one room and the half to the other, giving each room its own access. This is ideal for getting in and out, especially when camping with a gang.

Each room has both storage spaces in the ceiling and in the corners, so you can keep your everyday necessities close by. The mesh ceiling and windows also create great ventilation to keep you cool and dry no matter how hot it gets.

The only major negative is that the rainfly doesn’t give full coverage and some have experienced leaks in the corners on rainy nights. Otherwise, it’s a solid 10 person tent and worth considering if you want something basic.

Coleman WeatherMaster 10 Person Outdoor Tent

The Coleman WeatherMaster 10 Person Outdoor Tent is an awesome tent that has struck a great balance between price and quality. It does everything you need from a tent really well but doesn’t break the bank either.

Made from polyester along with welded floors, inverted seams, and  Coleman’s WeatherTec system, this camping tent is going to keep dry no matter the weather. It’s also pretty rugged and durable, so it should last. 

The set-up takes a few minutes but once you have learned the ropes, those minutes get shaved down pretty quickly. Once it’s pitched, you’ll find two doors and room dividers to create 2 private rooms inside.

Both rooms have their own access and are litter with mesh pockets for storing all your things. These features are what make this tent such a comfortable choice for families and friends.

There are two large windows, both of which open inwards, meaning no rain will be able to come through while they are open. You’ll be able to create all the ventilation you need, no matter the weather. The mesh ceiling is also great for ventilation but it does mean it can get cold on chilly nights.

Overall this Coleman WeatherMaster 10 person tent is an awesome choice. You’ll be comfortable, have space, warm and dry. What more can you ask for?

Ozark Trail

The Ozark Trail is the only 3 bedroom tent in the review. Each room might be a little tight but they do add an exceptionally great addition of space and privacy. It’s also got great headroom, the center height reaching 7ft, so even taller campers will be able to stand up.

Setting up the Ozark Trail 10 Person is much like setting up any other dome tent. It can be a little fiddly but it’s certainly not going to take very long. Plus after a little bit of practice, you’ll find it goes up in minutes.

Once up there are three rooms, each with its own door. This is an awesome layout, as you could use two for sleeping and one for storage, food, and relaxing. Once inside the camping tent, there is a generous gear loft and an electric port for charing your things and keeping the lights on.

The tent is rated for 4 seasons to keep you warm no matter the weather. It does, however, have some issues with the wind and the poles can break when put under too much strain. Also, the materials aren’t so durable and can rip quite easily, so if you do grab this tent, treat it with care.

Overall a lovely 10 person tent with a great layout for both space and privacy while family camping.

Core 10 Person Straight Wall Cabin Tent

The Core 10 Person Straight Wall Cabin Tent really does look like a home away from home. The difference that straight walls make is undeniable giving you a huge sense of space when inside. It also makes it a lot more comfortable to move around in.

Made from polyester with H20 Block Technology and sealed seams, this Core 10 Person Family Cabin tent is both durable and excellent whether it’s windy or rainy. The setup is a little tricky and takes time, especially to begin with, but once you have some practice, things fall into place. 

Once this family cabin tent is up you’ll immediately notice how spacious it looks. Inside there is a divider to split the space into two rooms, each with its own door. This is a really useful feature for giving you both your own space and privacy.

There is also a gear loft for storage and an electric port for connecting to a power source. This means you can charge everything you need and run the lights from the handy lantern hooks.

The only negative to this family camping tent is the zippers. They are quite catchy and you could risk creating a small hole or two. if you’re careful and patient though, they won’t be any issue at all.

Overall a great family cabin tent that gives you all the space, comfort, privacy, and weather protection you need. Sure, it’s not an instant cabin tent, but you can’t have everything!

CORE 10 Person Tent with Screen Room

The CORE 10 Person Tent with Screen Room is similar to the tent above but comes with extra space and a much simpler setup design. You can set it up in under five minutes, unlike the other one which can take some time.

The easy setup is thanks to the tent being pre-attached to the poles. To pitch it, just unfold the poles and extend them, and presto, there is your new cabin in the woods. Once you’ve pitched it, you’ll notice the large screen room at the front that leads to two doors and two rooms.

The screen room is a great place to relax from any annoying midges, use as a storage area, or to give your dog a comfy place to sleep. The layout really is excellent and gives you all the space and privacy you need to enjoy your family camping vacation.

The tent is great in rain, you will stay dry, but not so good in the wind. High winds can affect the structure so be sure to put the tent up properly and in a sheltered area. There is ample airflow in the camping tent thanks to the vents and the mesh inner ceiling. You’ll stay cool and avoid any condensation too.

One other point to make is that the rainfly fits quite tightly. This is ideal for stopping any water coming through but don’t push the tightness as it could affect seams.

Overall this is a great 10 person tent that provides all the space and comfort you need (even for tall people) to have an amazing experience camping in nature.

Tahoe Gear Olympia 10 Person Tent

The Tahoe Gear Olympia 10 Person Tent is another simple 10 person tent. While being very spacious on the inside, the tent doesn’t have the ability to create any kind of a layout bar open plan. This means that there is just one big room with one door once you’re in there.

The cabin style tent is made from polyester that is waterproofed to 1200mm, which is pretty good. It’ll do a fine job of keeping you both dry and protected from the wind. You can pitch the tent with one person, but two is easier. It’s pretty simple and won’t take up much of your time.

Once up, there is just one big room with one door. So bye-bye any privacy and welcome stumbling over people in the night when nature calls. It’s really quite sad this tent is missing a room divider and an extra door.

The Tahoe Gear Olympia tent comes with both ceiling and floor vents that create excellent airflow, letting cold air in through the bottom while allowing warm air to come out through the top.

There are some more negatives to this tent. It’s not freestanding, so you’ll have to put the pegs in to get it up, and once up, you cant move it around. The stitching also seems to wear out under strain and it’s hard to get back into the carry case.

Overall an ok tent but it does lack the extra features that can make all the difference between comfy camping and uncomfy camping.
