ICEBAR by ICEHOTEL Stockholm enjoys considerable popularity since it’s the first permanent bar made of ice in the world. It was built in 2002 and is renewed with fresh ice from the Torne River every April. Skillful ice sculptors from the ICEHOTEL in Jukkasjärvi create the very unique interiors of this go-to ice bar in Sweden. This very same ice is also used for the glasses in which drinks and cocktails are served.
It is open all year and has a constant temperature of -7 C (19 F). It can accommodate up to 60 people at a time and is also a family-friendly venue. Kids can enter the ice bar to be served colorful kid-friendly beverages.
Since the place is so popular, booking is a must to ensure you get inside. Each entry fee includes a cocktail and gives you around 40 minutes in the ice bar. With its artfully sculpted interiors, it functions partly as an exhibit as well. They also offer other activities such as ice sculpting lessons.
ICEBAR by ICEHOTEL is located in the Nordic C Hotel, centrally located on Vasaplan, next door to Stockholm Central Station and the airport shuttle train Arlanda Express.

Xtracold Amsterdam Icebar is one of the coolest joints you’ll find in Amsterdam. You enter a nice and warm lounge where you can sit and relax in good company. It’s a full-service bar where you can already start enjoying unique cocktails. Towards the back, another door leads you to the actual icebar.
The icebar is kept at -10 C (14 F), but guests are given a thermal coat to keep them warm. Sixty tons of ice make up the entire bar, with every inch of space and furniture are made out of ice.
Tickets include free drinks both at the lounge and at the icebar area.
A unique experience at Xtracold is being able to relive the adventure of the famous Dutch explorer Willem Barentsz. He was stranded on the island of Nova Zembla in the Arctic for almost a year, and the Xtracold Icebar is a tribute to that. Staff are dressed up in costumes to make the experience more real for the guests.
