Yukon Charlie’s Snowshoes Review: Are They Any Good?

Yukon Charlie Snowshoes are renowned as great entry-level snowshoes for those who don’t head to steep terrain or expect to float in waist-deep powder.

They are typically lightweight snowshoes, with very easy-to-use ratchet attachment systems, and have enough grip to keep you from slipping on most terrain.

The materials are all of reasonable quality for the price (Aluminium, Steel, and HDPE – Polyethylene) and are designed to last.

For those just starting out or who don’t venture into steep terrain or snowshoe much, the Advanced 931 model is ideal. The 930 is for deeper snow or a slightly heavier person (as it helps you stay afloat).

If you want to take a step up and get the extra durability of steel crampons that last longer when hitting rocks, and a nice heel lift for climbing hills, the Pro 930 are a way better bet.

Below are a lot more details on each model, to help you make the right decision.
