Generally thought of as the best beach in Siquijor island, Tubod beach is quite a remote beach in the San Juan area that has a small travel time and is easy to get to by motorbike or tricycle. It’s located southwest of the island and you’ll find it on the beachfront of Coco Grove Resort.
You’ll also find the Tubod Marine Sanctuary at Tubo beach and you can rent a snorkeling mask and go snorkeling right off the white sand shore and palm trees of Coco Grove Resort.
You’ll find a plethora of marine life to see inside the designated snorkel area of Tubod Marine Sanctuary including fish of all sizes as well as lovely coral. The snorkeling zone is big too so you can easily spend hours in there.
The overall vibe of Tubod beach is chilled and you won’t find many tourists there bar the tourists staying on Tubod beach. It’s a great Siquijor beach for solo travelers to find some space and it’s super safe too.
Another of the best beaches in Siquijor is Solangon Beach, located on the southwest side of the island in San Juan and is an excellent location to see gorgeous sunsets from.
This is one of the most pristine beaches in Siquijor as it’s long, covered in white sand, and home to shallow clear waters. It’s the picture-perfect beach and the perfect place to go for long walks, swim or paddle in the sea, and relax under some palm trees.
This famous beach is one of the Siquijor beaches with the finest of white sand and the main section of Solangon beach is accessed through Coral Cay resort. Solangon beach is a public beach so there is no entrance fee and it is just a short walk through the Coral Cay Resorts.
Solangon beach is a secluded and peaceful location with a few locals and a few tourists. You can rent hammocks to chill out in and it’s worth buying some drinks to see the sunset.
Paliton Beach is located just north of Solangon beach in San Juan and Paliton beach is a Siquijor beach that most tourists don’t make it to as it is a bit off the beaten path.
When you arrive at Paliton beach you’ll find the perfect picture of local fishing boats all lined up on the shores on the white sand of Paliton beach and more locals than foreigners hanging out too. Paliton Beach is easily accessible as you can drive your scooter right up to the start of the sand.
Paliton Beach is an excellent beach in Siquijor if you want to enjoy some swimming or go on a snorkeling adventure. The snorkeling isn’t quite as good as Tubod but it’s pretty great. Just be sure to arrive at Paliton beach at high tide if you want to swim or you might have to walk out.
While visiting, you should also think of staying until sunset as the sunsets from Paliton beach are pretty special and there are incredible views during the day too. There aren’t many or any amenities though so bring something to drink with you.
If you want Paliton beach to yourself avoid weekends as it’s a super popular local beach on the weekend. Travelers can easily combine Tubod, Solangon, and Paliton beach to make one of the best day trips ever.

Salagdoong Beach is without doubt one of the top beaches in Siquijor. Salagdoong beach is located northeast of the island on the edge of Salagdoong forest.
The location is blessed with white sand, clear waters, and all the amenities you could need as there are bars and restaurants lining the beach, so you can chill all day and have the supplies you need. There is a small 75 PHP entrance fee but it is certainly worth it.
Salagdoong beach attracts big local crowds and travelers too, and if you want this tropical paradise to yourself, stick to weekdays and early mornings, that way you can leave when the crowds push in.
One of the things Salagdoong beach is famous for is cliff diving with two diving points of around 35 feet up. You can also go swimming off Salagdoong beach and the snorkeling is pretty great too.
Candanay Sur Beach is another of the great white sand beaches in Siquijor and you will find it located on the northern end of the island. It’s a lovely beach with a beach resort or two along the shore where you can stay and find some affordable accommodations.
The great thing about this Siquijor beach is that it’s one of the lesser-known beaches in Siquijor so you can enjoy the long beach along with the warm clear water without too many other people.
The tall palm trees make it picture perfect and the tides are favorable so that you can go swimming or snorkeling at any time of day. You’ll also find a Diving Center along the shore where you can book some diving or a boat trip and see the natural beauty of the island from the sea.
Kagusuan Beach is one of the top beaches in Siquijor if you are looking for a remote paradise to enjoy to yourself. It is a bit off the beaten track but it’s not too hard to get to this beautiful beach just go via Lazi town with a scooter or tricycle.
When you arrive at Kagusuan Beach you will find crystal water, a small patch of sand, and a ton of forest pushing itself onto the shore. It’s the quintessential perfect Philippines beach that is a slice of paradise.
There is nothing when you get to Kagusuan beach so be sure to take drinks and snacks with you and enjoy the peaceful surroundings and just relax to the max.
Secret Beach is in quite an out-of-the-way location on the east of the island, hence the name. This is one of the Siquijor beaches that you have to make a trek to in order to access and when you arrive you’ll find a strip of beach with white sand and crystal clear water.
You will find coconut palms, a low-key vibe, and it’s great for relaxing away from the crowds. If you are looking for a romantic destination for an island picnic this is the Siquijor beach that you should go to.
Also, at low tide, you can almost walk to the edge of the reef so if the ocean is calm, this is the place to snorkel.

Sabas Beach is a great place for the whole family and if you’re looking for the best accommodation that is also affordable accommodation, even for backpackers, then Sabas beach on the southeast tip of the island is the place to be.
This is one of the Siquijor beaches with a great bar, restaurant, and a great value resort that is great for relaxing, swimming, snorkeling, and it’s quite an empty stretch too, so there aren’t many people on it.
It’s a great place to spend the day, stay with groups, enjoy the hot sun, sunset, and spacious rooms if you choose to spend the night. You will need to access it via the resort but there is no entrance fee.
Pontod beach is another San Juan, Siquijor beach and it’s actually right next to Paliton.
It’s pretty much a tiny stretch of white sand with crystal clear waters and it’s a great backup for when Paliton is crowded as this will be empty and it’s just 5 minutes down the road or less on a tricycle.
Not many people go to this beach in Siquijor and maybe it’s because it’s one of the smaller beaches but if you are looking for a secluded spot to watch the sunset from, this is it!
It’s also not a bad beach if you’re looking to swim and get some sun during the day as you won’t be disturbed and there is some pretty good snorkeling too.
Tulapos Marine Sanctuary sits about 10 km away from the Siquijor port of Larena on the northeast tip of the island.
This sanctuary is the oldest sanctuary on the island and it is home to an astonishing number of marine species including turtles and sharks as well as corals, giant clams, and tons of reef fish too.
You need to pay to snorkel there and the entrance fee is just 300 PHP and it comes with a mask and a guide who may or may not speak English. But they know where all the good stuff is so be sure to go out with them as the underwater scenes are spectacular.
The beach at Tulapos is pretty nice too so if you don’t want to snorkel you can take a few steps into the sea and enjoy the high-end swimming rating, walk the long strip, and visit the marine office for some info too.

Sandugan beach is worth a trip while you’re on the island and it’s a great place to stay the night as the accommodation options along the beach are versatile. You can spend the night camping by the sea or you can head to an upmarket resort and enjoy some luxury during your visit.
The beach is long and is great for walks and swimming if you are visiting there at high tide and it’s great for relaxing too since you can grab food and drinks at the resorts.
Expect super white sands, a hotel or two, a fun place to play with kids and the family, and a beautiful sea to enjoy. Make sure to bring some shoes if you want to take your mask for a swim as you will need to walk out a low tide to find the deeper spots where the fish will be hanging out.
The best time to go on a trip to Siquijor beaches is during the summer in the Philippines but when is summer in Siquijor?
This Philippines destination has monsoon weather meaning it has a dry season and a wet season, not 4 seasons like countries to the north and south of the planet.
This means summertime is in the dry season which runs from November until May and during this, the weather is pretty much sunshine all day long with very little rainfall – perfect beach weather.
It is very hot during this time, especially between March and May as this is when there is not much wind, no rain, and the sun bakes on it. Expect temperatures of over 32 celsius on the daily. This is my perfect beach temperature but for some, it can be a little hot.
If you want the good sunny weather of the dry season without the heat, consider going between December and February as you will get more of a breeze.
