Why are flights to St Lucia so expensive?

Limited Infrastructure
St. Lucia’s primary international airport is Hewanorra International Airport (UVF). This airport has a very limited capacity compared to most other airports.
This means that there are fewer flights that can land on any one day which ultimately leads to higher prices because of lower competition.
High Demand
St. Lucia is a popular tourist destination for honeymooners and luxury travelers. This unusually high demand, coupled with limited flight availability, can result in higher prices.
Again, it’s all about supply and demand. Simple economics. And St Lucia fails here in so many regards.

Another big factor that influences the prices of flights to St Lucia is seasonality. If you travel during peak travel times, such as during the winter months, you are always going to find the prices are significantly higher.
