O2 eSIM & SIM Data Plan for Travelers

O2 offers an eSIM plan called the O2 Go Card. It is a great way to get prepaid mobile data while you are traveling in Europe.

O2 is one of the most reliable eSIM and data providers in the UK and it is not surprising that they have such a great offer for travelers in the UK and Europe.

What’s Included In the O2 Plan

What do you get with the O2 eSIM or SIM data plan?

  • Price: $24.90
  • Duration:  30 days
  • Data: 10GB of data in 4G/LTE in all of Europe
  • Texts: Not included
  • Calls: Free calls to the O2 European network
  • Tethering/Hotspot: Allowed

Data Top Up

Obviously, some of you are going to run out of data while using the O2 eSim while traveling in Europe. So, they have data top-ups available to make it easy to keep on traveling stress-free.

Ideally, you should do it via their App (Android or iPhone), as in my experience that is the simplest way to use any eSIM or SIM while traveling. They have the following top up amounts available:

  • 400MB for 1 week
  • 500MB for 1 month
  • 1.5GB for 1 month
  • 5GB for 1 month
  • 10GB for 1 month – available on the app only

eSIM or SIM card Delivery

o2’s plan can be delivered as both an eSIM or a SIM card. This means you can install it as an eSIM on any modern compatible iPhone or Android device (check out our list here).

Or, if you don’t have an eSIM-compatible phone, you can order your SIM and have it delivered before you leave on your trip. It typically takes

  • 3-5 days to the USA
  • 5-7 days to Canada
  • 1-3 days to anywhere in the EU
  • Not deliverable to Africa or South America
