If you want to get the best overview of what is happening with your Mavic Pro you have to get a tablet.
However, it is important to make sure you get or use one that is compatible with the DJI Go App and can run without crashing.
There are also a few other things to consider which I will cover in this post, so stay tuned for that below.
I will also give you a list of tablet options from both Apple’s iPad range and Android tablets you can use.
There are quite a few recent models of both the iPad and a bunch of Android devices you can use with the Mavic Pro. It is best to use one that is approved by DJI themselves to ensure a problem-free flight, however, if you have one, not on the list, you can always try it in a safe area to ensure it works with no problems.

The tablets compatible with DJI Mavic Pro 2 are also the same ones compatible with The Mavic Pro. So, you may refer to the list above if you have the Mavic Pro 2.
Although DJI have approved the above tablets for use with the Mavic Pro and DJI Go app, there are a few other things you should think about.
The jaws of the Mavic Pro controller can only go side wide. And the rubber inserts in the jaws are also quite tight.

Some people on the Mavic forums have successfully removed the rubber grips from inside the jaws to allow for more room for the tablet or a phone.
No matter what size tablet you have or intend to use, you can always use a tablet holder for it. This not only gives you a lot more room for a variety of tablet sizes, it also allows you to position the tablet better for flying.
Instead of having the tablet stuck down by your stomach, you can have it high and easily visible.

There are a few things the DJI Go App needs access to the internet for. So, if you decide to save some money and buy a wifi only tablet, you will lose a couple of pieces of functionality on the app.
