Best eSIM For The Bahamas (Easy Internet Access)

Airalo

Airalo is one of the best eSIM providers offering data plans for more than 200 countries throughout the world. It only has one eSIM plan for the Bahamas though, but it’s affordable and good enough for travelers who want to have an eSIM as a backup plan:

It’s not a lot of data, but it’s still one of the most affordable plans out of the bunch. Also, the Airalo eSIM allows you to connect to the BTC network, which is one of the top two mobile network operators in the Bahamas. You’ll have a stable internet connection with decent internet speed.

Additionally, Airalo makes it very easy to top-up your existing eSIM, so if you run out of data or want to extend the validity period. You can do this either on the Airalo website or through the app, and it’s worth noting that you can also use the app to monitor your data usage.

Another thing worth mentioning is that Airalo also has an Island Hopper eSIM plan that offers regional coverage in the Caribbean. It’s $15 for 1 GB of data valid for a week, and it includes network coverage in 24 countries in the region. If you have plans to travel to multiple destinations in the Caribbean, the Island Hopped eSIM plan is an option worth considering.

Maya Mobile

Maya Mobile is a popular eSIM provider that operates in more than 190 countries throughout the world. This provider is known for monthly eSIM plans that are usually good value for money and connect to the country’s best network operators:

• 5 GB/30 Days for $74
• 5 GB/30 days for $74 (Caribbean)
• 10 GB/30 Days for $120 (Caribbean)

The data plans for the Bahamas are pricey but include access to  BTC, the best mobile network operator in the Bahamas. You’ll have a fast and stable Internet connection, as well as coverage everywhere in the Bahamas.

Maya Mobile also includes the Bahamas in its regional plan for the Caribbean, and this is a good option if you’re planning to visit multiple countries in the region. You’ll have network coverage in 15 countries in addition to the Bahamas, and that’s great for travelers who don’t always stay in one place.

Alosim

Alosim is a great eSIM provider that offers internet access in 170+ countries in the world. The pricing of Alosim data plans is usually comparable to Airalo, making it one of the best eSIM providers for travelers. Alosim has one weekly data plan for the Bahamas:

It’s only $0.5 more expensive than Airalo’s plan, so it’s still a solid option if you need an eSIM that will work for a week. Unfortunately, Alosim doesn’t offer any other plans for the Bahamas, so it’s not really suitable for travelers who will be staying in the Caribbean for more than a week.

KnowRoaming

KnowRoaming is a good eSIM provider with a variety of data plans for virtually every country in the world. This provider offers 30-day data plans for the Bahamas:

KnowRoaming offers the best 5 GB data plan for the Bahamas. This is one of two providers that include 30-day data plans for the island country (the other is Maya Mobile), and the KnowRoaming eSIM plan is significantly cheaper. If you’re staying in the Bahamas for a while and you want a more generous data allowance, this is the best option.

The only downside is that there’s no information on the network provider. I’m assuming it’s BTC because all the other Bahamas eSIMs can access that network, but it’s smart to just double-check with the provider before you actually spend any money on a Bahamas eSIM.

GigSky

GigSky is another provider that doesn’t have any eSIMs just for the Bahamas but does include the island country in its regional data plans. The Bahamas are included in the Caribbean and World eSIM plans from GigSky:

They’re not the cheapest data plans money can buy, but are some of the most affordable options for the Caribbean region. A GigSky Caribbean eSIM offers coverage in 29 destinations in the region,  which is by far the widest coverage any operator offers. So, if you have plans to visit other islands in the Caribbean, this is probably the best eSIM for you.

On top of that, this provider offers the most affordable 5 GB and 10 GB data plans out of the bunch. They’re significantly cheaper than Maya Mobile and even KnowRoaming alternatives, and they’re my favorite option for a 30-day stay. The only downside is that there’s no information on the network provider in the Bahamas, but it’s most likely BTC.

Another thing to note is that the Bahamas are also included in the provider’s Global data plan. It’s only $10 more expensive than the equivalent Caribbean plan, so worth the money if the Bahamas are just one stop on your multi-country trip.
