One of my favorite Paris eSIM providers is Maya Mobile. Their idea is to provide affordable eSIM plans with the best conditions.
So, they have competitive rates per GB and use the best networks on the ground for a reliable and fast connection.
They also allow tethering/hotspots so you can work or share your connection. This is rare for eSIM plans with unlimited data.
Maya’s eSim plans for Paris are:
Maya’s plans include access to 5G from the best 5G network in the country – Free Mobile. They also make use of a second provider Bouyges, to help give you options when you can’t connect in one location.
Holafly is the Unlimited Data eSim provider for Paris.
They are one of the few providers that offer an unlimited data (Maya is the other). Just keep in mind they don’t allow tethering/hotspots.
They do make up for this with a French phone number though, so you get 60 minutes of calls with their plans. Something most aside from Orange don’t provide.
Holafly’s unlimited plans are:
If you like to use a lot of data, this is the ideal 5G eSim for travel in ParisĀ as the connection speeds are excellent too.
The Orange Holiday Europe eSim is the perfect option for a Paris eSIM if you plan on actually leaving Paris and heading over the border.
This eSIM costs 49.90 Euros and comes with a
So, this is the ideal eSIM if you need to call or text while in Paris.
There is a cheaper version called Orange ZEN which only has 8 GB of data, it costs 29.90.
Since it is with Orange, a French network, you will get a fast and reliable mobile data connection while you use it. Also, it comes with 20 GB which should be more than enough for 14 days.
Sadly, the price per GB (if you exclude the calls) isnāt the best around.
Airalo has some very affordable eSIMs for Paris. And that is honestly something I expect from them all around the world. I make use of them a lot. I usually try them – Maya & Holafly when comparing prices before trying any other eSIM provider
The only issue with Airalo’s Paris eSIMs is that their prices are not the cheapest per GB (Maya is cheaper) and they don’t have unlimited data options.
BUT they use three different mobile providers (Orange, Bouygues, SFR) which ensure a great connection. And they allow hotspots/tethering, which is great if you need to work or use another device.
Airalos eSim plans for Paris include:
The prices are still very affordable and it is simple to buy and install their eSIMs via their App, which I love using. And, customer service is always excellent with Airalo.
The AIS eSIM2Fly is a global eSim that also works in France and you get a great deal with it too.
For just $33 you will get
This also comes with a Thai number if you want to use it for sms and calls, but that is not so useful in Paris.
But I do love that the eSIM is global, so this eSIM plan is seriously worth considering if you plan on traveling a lot in Europe and abroad.
Nomad is a reliable eSIM provider for Paris too. Their French eSIMs are competitive, but just slightly more expensive than the likes of Airalo or Maya.
Here are their plans so you can compare the prices:
Nomad offers a solid, fast, and reliable connection using Frances’s big providers: Orange, Bouygues Telecom, SFR, or Free Mobile.
Note: The only thing to watch with Nomad is that their plans are a bit confusing. They have two of every data pack size. And each varies slightly from the other (number of days, mobile provider) and in different ways each time.
Ubigi is a quite new eSIM provider with a few options for their French/Paris eSIMs.
Although they don’t have a huge range of package sizes, they are very cheap per GB and they have a 50 GB plan:
With reasonable prices per GB and lots of regional offers, they are worth exploring if you plan on moving around Europe or the world.
They also excel at 5G being one of the few eSIM companies with 5G connections on many of their plans. That is their strength. Their website is a little messy and confusing in my opinion, so I rarely use them.
Bouygues Telecom is a local French network provider, so getting their plan in Paris is not a bad idea, right?
They offer 3 different eSIM plans for you:
They also give you texts and calls in the Travel Basic+ package, which might come in handy for some of you.
There are a lot of benefits to getting an eSIM in Paris, or anywhere really.
With an eSim, you can also
Once you get the hang of installing eSIMs you will do it for every trip. It takes just a minute or two, and then the same when you land to get the connection to the local network.
Using an eSim in Paris is usually far more affordable than data roaming on your home network. And way easier of course!
I have been using eSIMs for over a year and between dozens of countries. It is a no-brainer and I wish I had known about it sooner!
The only local mobile operators offering eSims in France to travelers are Orange France and Bouygues Telecom. Both of these are the best times to go for if you want the fastest and most reliable connection as being a local mobile operator means they will have the best connection.
ESIMs are compatible with most modern phones, tablets and smartwatches. Since the iPhone X, Apple has been installing them on everything, and competitors like Samsung have followed suit.

This of course depends on how much data you use per day normally.
The average user: about 5 GB per week
Heavy data users hit 15-20 GB of data.
If you are like Anna and sit on Instagram or Youtube, you will need 2-3 GB a day.
Check your current phone usage to give you an idea, but also keep in mind you might have wifi in the hotel or Airbnb which helps reduce your usage a lot.
